In a very Flying Lotus-like fashion, Houston became an electronic inferno Friday night at Warehouse Live. Flying Lotus, whose name is popularly shortened to Flylo, took to the ballroom stage for his “Flamagra” tour. The show features some out of this world 3D visuals alongside hot tracks from his sixth studio album. The album features the likes of Anderson .Paak, George Clinton, Little Dragon, Tierra Whack, Denzel Curry, David Lynch, Shabazz Palaces, Thundercat, Toro y Moi, Solange and more.

A terrifying yet odd intro, Flylo opened his set with “Fire Is Coming”. As he delved deeper into his set, the whole experience began to grow increasingly immersive. The 3D glasses element definitely gave the show an overall feeling of connectedness amongst the crowd; Flylo’s eclectic choice of sounds and drums evoke the most visceral response from you. The incessant, pounding basslines and flurry of electronic sounds seemingly makes your mind drift off in good way.
