Houston, TX– Lufkin, Texas native, Chris Adams sound is not for the unrefined palate. He’s a sultry mix of sounds; an R&B/Hip-Hop/Soul Hybrid.  Adams has been labeled as ARTIST TO WATCH by many music consultants including Harrold Whaley (Urban Network), Terry McGill (TAM Music consulting), and many others that have pressed the play button on his tracks. His story dates back, Backwoodz Entertainment founder Marco Morales attests to this.

Backwoodz Entertainment Inc. is a record label operating out of Houston, Texas that was founded by Morales and childhood friend Bigg Jake in Lufkin, TX back in 2006. After Bigg Jake passed away due to breathing complications in 2008, Morales decided to keep the label going in his friend’s memory, officially establishing it in 2009. Fast forward some and we find Morales linking up with Houston’s Chris Adams, whom he frequently visited. To his pleasant surprise, Adams revealed to Morales a back room in his house that would later form the basis of Backwoodz Ent. It was in in a back room of Adams house where he had a studio. That studio would be the silo for the launch of new music with Adams rap group of the time which he started with friends from high school. Though the group saw rapid success on the label, internal problems in the group would lead to the band calling quits and only Adams remained.
