Rap Group High Elements Talks Youth, Kanye Rant, Mental Health & Music

New Houston Music Outlet talks with Emcee and Anarchy of up-and-coming rap group, High Elements. The two delved into their thoughts on Houston’s emerging Hip Hop scene and what they feel their stake is in the plot. In this interview, the young artists get detailed on their group’s easy-going chemistry, upcoming EPs and what all goes into being the group called, High Elements. The group even hosted their first art showcase last month titled, Drip. Did you go to Drip? Let us know in the comments how it went!

Emcee of the group gets candid about personal struggles with depression. In the interview he states that keeping a mindset that he had to keep progressing is what kept him from falling victim to the deadly illness; closing with a reminder to others to always reach out for help and to remember that you are never alone. Yet another powerful message right from the mouth of a young emcee. This comes in light of recent rants by popular artists, Kanye and Yelawolf whom both stopped their live shows while on tour, appearing to be suffering from what looked like mental “breakdowns”. It is speculated that depression had a role in these recent stories. As more popular figures make headlines as of late, bringing more light to such a serious topic, more opportunities open for people to have discussions like these.
