Porter Robinson and Madeon swept the stage and the city of Houston as they crash landed in Revention Music Center this month displaying an extraterrestrial-like light show and a hyper energetic, live performance. The audience attendance and participation was one of the most remarkable things one can take from this experience due to the pure exuberance and excitement that was in the air the whole night. It wouldn’t be too far to say that the celebration was very reminiscent of the scene in part two of the legendary Matrix trilogy where the people of Zion raved in celebration.

Porter Robinson and Madeon made it clear that they have a heart for anime as show screens leaked cartoon images of their new anime film, “Shelter”. The duo finally released the short film this week on Youtube and have already amassed up to a million views. They’ve teamed up with A-1 Pictures and Crunchyroll to bring their story of “Shelter” to life; a story of a young girl trapped inside a simulation created by her father to protect her from the end of the world. Houston got to get a taste of “Shelter” at their live show at Revention Music Center.

The two’s joint North American tour is currently trailing through as they hit Boston, Philadelphia, New York and many more cities in November. For an up-to-date list of dates, check their site.
