Coming through with the strongest follow up to his highly successful 2013 project, The Ambiance, Miami indie emcee Prez P continues to show and prove why he’s one of Miami’s music scene’s finest. Within a short 8 tracks, The Preztige EP( featured below), exclusively produced by Miami native The Pyrvmids, takes listeners on a multi-faceted journey through the many fragments of Prez’s actuality. His innate ability to switch lanes between the hood anthems, Hollywood dreams and hippie lifestyle are highlighted to a tee, all packaged over a mysterious undertone, led by an eerily nuanced monologue from the 2006 movie The Prestige. The storyline finds two magicians turn rivals, sabotaging each other until the bitter, tragic end. In the film, the third act of a magic trick is titled “The Prestige,” and is described as the final, hardest, and most crucial part, “because making something disappear isn’t enough; you have to bring it back.”
